З 1 по 3 жовтня в Будапешті відбулась офіційна зустріч делегатів країн-учасниць Євро-2014, який прийматиме Угорщина та Хорватія з 7 по 21 грудня.
В рамках підготовки до чемпіонату Європи, в конференції прийняли участь представники шістнадцяти національних команд, що приймають участь в змаганнях.
На конференції були присутні офіційні особи з Європейської гандбольної федерації, а також представники угорської та хорватської гандбольних федерацій.
Через щільний графік, розпочався захід з відвідування спортивної арени Папп Ласло в Будапешті, де відбудеться фінальний вікенд турніру. У ході конференції, учасники були проінформовані про все, що стосується змагань, починаючи від поселення команд до боротьби з допінгом.
Шістнадцять національних збірних змагатимуться за головний європейський трофей, такі як: Група А - Угорщина, Іспанія, Росія та Польща; Група B - Норвегія, Данія, Румунія та Україна; Група C - Швеція, Німеччина, Хорватія та Нідерланди; Група D - Чорногорія, Франція, Сербія та Словаччина.
З 7 по 21 грудня 2014 Угорщина прийматиме в містах Дьйор, Дебрецен і Будапешт, а Хорватія у Вараздіні, Осієку та Загребі.
